Coronation Street fans were left baffled by a huge blunder this week as Nina Lucas was rushed to hospital after nearly drowning.
Nina, played by future Dancing on Ice star Mollie Gallagher, was desperate to save her uncle Roy Cropper’s life after believing he might have drowned in a river while bat watching.
Roy’s group was cancelled, and Nina rushed out to find him in the dark – and found his flask floating downstream.

The terrified teen lurched into the water, believing Roy could be in trouble, but hit her head on a rock and slipped into the water. Brian performed CPR on Nina but it almost looked as though it was too late, until she finally began coughing up water.
Later, Nina woke up underneath hospital sheets, with an oxygen cannula in her nostrils and more tubes leading from under a hospital gown.
But fans were left baffled that her eyeliner had survived the near-drowning, reports the MEN.
Taking to Twitter with their observations, one fan pointed out: “Amazing that Nina almost drowned, had resuscitation and still has full make-up on with lipstick. So realistic – not!”
Another echoed: “Nina was in the water, but had make-up in hospital. I know it’s not real.”
“Nina nearly drowned yet her eye make-up is still immaculate!” someone else said.
Others were astonished that Nina was seen to right away despite growing pressure on the NHS in the real world.
One commenter said: “No 20 hour wait for an ambulance for Nina. No lovely hospital corridor for another 24 hours. Oh no. Straight to a comfy bed in a comfy ward.”
“When Nina was pulled out of the river she had a massive graze on her head that knocked her out, my god that A&E is amazing they managed to heal it immediately!” someone else commented.
