Dancing on Ice's first axed contestant 'exposed' as much-loved TV star is favourite to go

Dancing on Ice makes its triumphant return to screens on Sunday night for its long-awaited fifteenth series.

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield resume their posts as presenters while Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean, Oti Mabuse and Ashley Banjo will sit on the judging panel and offer their critique to this year’s celebs.

Ahead of the first show, the bookies have been speculating who could be first to leave the competition – and it’s not looking good for EastEnders actress Patsy Palmer.

Bookies have the soap star and former Gladiators presenter John Fashanu as the two most likely to be booted out first.

John, 60, has odds of 25/1 while the BBC star is not far behind with odds of 20/1 of being kicked out.

British gymnast Nile Wilson has already been tipped to win the show with incredible odds of 10/3 while Love Island winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu is close behind with odds of 7/2.

Meanwhile TOWIE star Joey Essex is rated at 4/1 and The Wanted’s Siva Kaneswaran and Corrie’s Mollie Gallagher share odds of 8/1.

Patsy, who is famed for playing Bianca Jackson on EastEnders, recently appeared on This Morning and revealed turning 50 is what made her finally agree to participate in the skating show.

She told Holly and Phil: “It was terrifying. Is there any point going on a show and potentially getting injured?”

“What is the difference now?” the 60-year-old presenter asked as the DJ responded: “I’m 50 years old.

“It’s a job, isn’t it? Going to work and it’s important that we all do that. But I don’t want to get into that boring bit because that is obvious.”

She added: “We were talking about that just now in the dressing room and it’s like, I get to do this for a job.

“And I am 50 now, I had a huge 50th birthday bash in LA where I DJ’d and it was all sparkly and so I was like, I need to keep this sparkly going.”
