Emmerdale fans are sure they have worked out a huge DNA twist when it comes to viewer-favourite Cain Dingle.
While speculating on the motive of Cain’s brother Caleb Miligan, fans believe they’ve uncovered a future plotline that could see Cain’s true parentage exposed.
Officially, Shadrach and Faith are Cain’s parents – but according to eagle-eyed viewers, a twist could reveal that Zak is actually Cain’s dad, further muddying the waters when it comes to Caleb.

Caleb hasn’t yet revealed who his biological father is, though he confirmed Faith gave birth to him while in prison.
Taking to Reddit to theorise on future storylines, one fan posted: “I don’t understand why Cain hates Caleb so intensely. I wonder if there’s more history between them that will surface.”
Another agreed: “It’s so left sided and they will make up any story on it as he was never mentioned and believable like Zak turning out to be Cain’s dad and not Shadrach.”
Meanwhile, one user over on Twitter said: “There’s going to be some sort of DNA thing with Caleb but not sure what it is yet… some people saying Shadrach’s not Cain’s real dad? Could be full brothers with Caleb not half.”
Other fans were equally baffled by Cain’s attitude towards his new brother, who has been helping to free Kyle from a murder charge.
One Twitter user asked: “Why is Cain so against Caleb? He’s coming off as being very jealous of him for some reason?”
Another penned: “FFS Cain grow up & act your bloody age. Unless there’s so much more he’s keeping to himself about new wonder Dingle Caleb!”
“I think we are going to find out Caleb has a secret past,” someone else suggested.
Thankfully, viewers finally got to meet Caleb’s mysterious solicitors on Monday night (January 16) as one lawyer gave Moira and Amy advice on Kyle.

He alluded to Cain’s own criminal past during the conversation – though some fans wondered how exactly he found out so much so quickly, while others hinted Caleb could have a similar past and needs the lawyers to ease him out of sticky sensations.
One said Caleb is playing a “sick game”, as someone else agreed he’s “definitely up to something”.
