Love Island starlet Amy Day has revealed the real reason the boys bring the girls their morning coffees – and it’s really not that romantic.
The brunette beauty – who had a very short-lived romance with Hugo Hammond on the 2021 series – has said that mornings in the villa are actually very regimented.
While she would normally wake up at around 8am and grab a coffee, she has revealed that when she tried it she was told to go back to bed.

Then once filming had officially started at around lunch time, and after having “curry or fish and chips for breakfast”, the girls and boys would be split up.
Speaking to OK! magazine, Amy said: “Filming typically started after our breakfast/lunchtime meal when the producers asked us to have our daily debriefs.
“I was always jealous of the boys because they were told to go to the kitchen to talk while us girls had to gather on the terrace.
“I think that the boys give the girls coffee each day because the girls are literally not allowed outside – it’s less romantic than you think!”
The morning coffees are often seen by viewers as a cute or romantic gesture from a boy trying to win over one of the girls.
In fact, in past series boys have battled it out to try and make the best breakfast beverage for their girl of choice.
During Friday night’s episode (February 3), new lad Casey O’Gorman tried to impress Lana Jenkins by making her breakfast, much to Ron Hall’s amusement.
While Lana seemed happy, Ron was particularly smug that Casey had given her salmon with her avocado, as he knew she didn’t like it.
Lana and Ron had seemed well matched, however Ron’s head was turned by newbie Samie Elishi, but she didn’t take too long in turning him down.
He’s currently coupled up with Tanyel Revan in a friendship couple, but some fans reckon romance could be on the cards.
Love Island airs nightly at 9pm on ITV2
