Love Island's Will Young already called an Islander his 'wife' – but it wasn't Jessie

Love Island’s Will Young already called an Islander his “wife”, but it wasn’t Jessie Wynter.

Despite Will playing away with Layla Al-Momani during Casa Amor, fans have forgiven the fun-loving farmer as he appears to be total head-over-heels in love with his Australian beauty Jessie.

And on Monday night (February 27), fans knew that the pair had finally got over their rough patch when they both dropped the L-bomb during Snog Marry Pie.

Both Jessie and Will opted to marry each other in the beloved ITV2 challenge that takes place on each series of the reality-dating show.

Will ‘proposed’ to Jessie

Each getting down on one knee before each other and pulling out a ring, both Jessie and Will said they loved each other and could see a future.

But before Jessie was Will’s “wife”, somebody else who has resided in the villa this series was.

Aforementioned Layla was the brunette bombshell that Will fooled around with in the main villa while Jessie and the other girls lived it up in Casa.

But he called Layla his ‘wife’ before he did Jessie

Shamelessly kissing Conor Maynard’s ex-girlfriend and exclaiming “naughty” as their toes allegedly touched in bed, Jessie was devastated to learn of Will’s antics.

Thinking that she already has the full picture of what Will got up to with Layla, thanks to Will’s honesty and the Free Will-y clip during Movie Night, she’ll likely be gutted to learn of another bombshell.

Will seems to have been forgiven for his Casa antics

During Heat Magazine’s Heat Dates YouTube series, Layla revealed that during her stay in the main villa, Will was calling her his “wife”.

Speaking about being Will’s “wife”, Layla said: “I remember me and Shaq went to chat and Will was like, ‘Oh, are you taking my wife?'”

But surely all of that is now history. And with Will and Jessie in a good place, we’re pretty sure that his little wifey comment won’t faze her.

Love Island airs every night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX, with Unseen Bits on Saturdays and Aftersun at 10pm on Sundays.
