Pregnant Laura Anderson brands Gary Lucy’s split claims ‘not true’ as she breaks silence

Former Love Island star Laura Anderson has broken her silence following her split from ex-boyfriend Gary Lucy – and she’s hit back at his claims about their relationship.

The reality star, who appeared on the 2018 series of Love Island, confirmed she’d split from former Footballers’ Wives star Gary back in February.

Laura, who is 25 weeks pregnant and due to give birth to a girl in August, has now opened up about her highly publicised break-up and how it feels to be becoming a mum.

She refuted claims made by Gary who told a publication that he and Laura broke up because he wouldn’t move to Scotland, where she lives, because he shares four children with his ex-wife Natasha Gray.

Laura told OK!: “That’s not true,” adding: “I was always moving to Essex.”

Asked why their romance ended, she asked: “How long have you got?” before explaining that she originally wanted things to work out.

“It’s really hard to explain,” she Laura replied.

“I wanted us to reconcile and I wanted things to work out, but because of things I found out since then, and the fact nothing has been discussed or resolved, I think for now I’m trying to just be positive and think about the baby and be strong, because everything became too chaotic.”

Laura also admitted that going through a public break-up while pregnant and reading mistruths in the media has been a “challenge” for her.

However, she insisted that she wants to be positive and move forward, and that she is “really excited” about her daughter coming along.

She also said that she wants to keep things “civil” with Gary and to keep certain things private for the sake of their child.

Laura also revealed that lots of things have “come to light” that have upset her since she split up with Gary.

Laura and Gary started dating after meeting each other on E4’s Celebs Go Dating in 2022.
