Married at First Sight UK star Terence Edwards has revealed he was mobbed during a night out with his mum.
The DJ walked away from the social experiment in dramatic scenes of the E4 reality show which aired this week after he refused to continue his marriage with wife Porsha Pernnelle following the news that she had kissed other cast members during a game of spin the bottle.
In doing so he broke one of the programme’s cardinal rules, as the show’s rules typically state that a couple can’t leave unless they both want to. If one member wants to leave and the other wants to stay, then they both remain on the show for another week.

However, Terence insisted he would be quitting the process leaving his wife Porsha “blindsided” after she claimed he had been reassuring her just minutes before about the news that she had locked lips with some of the other contestants in an off-camera game.
Opening up about the most random place he’s been recognised since finding fame on MAFS UK, Terence told Daily Star: “”I went to two comedy shows and I got mobbed. That was strange because I was with my mum and there was a lot of ladies there in their sixties and I didn’t think they watched it but as soon as a walked through the doors, they were like ‘I know your face’ and then one person said ‘Married at First Sight’ and then these ladies tried to get pictures and were grabbing me so that made my mum’s night.”
In an Instagram live video posted after his exit aired, Terence has further explained his reasons for his decisions to leave as he told fellow MAFS star Luke Worley: “I watched that just a minute ago and I’ve got a headache. Obviously I knew what was going to happen, but actually watching it and replaying it and how it went on the day, .it just made me feel like, when I was going through that whole process it weren’t easy. It weren’t nice. Some people think it’s all fun and games and you’re doing it for TV, I know I definitely weren’t.”

Addressing the comment by Porsha that she was “blindsided” by Terence’s decision, he added: “Yeah probably to be fair. I had checked out. I’m just like, ‘Every week this woman has got me in drama’. What was my saying on week one, I said to Paul the expert that ‘I don’t do drama’.
“I went in there to find a wife, thinking yeah we’re gonna vibe, we’re gonna cook, we’re gonna have a good time and then I got the complete opposite. The show only finished two or three minutes ago and my phone is just exploding and I can’t even catch up.”
Married at First Sight UK airs Monday to Thursday on E4 at 9pm
