Telly property guru Sarah Beeny has grim keepsakes in her own home, like old teeth and hair.
The TV host revealed she can’t bear to chuck out the odd items because they belonged to loved ones. Property Ladder presenter Sarah, 52, said: “There are a few really weird things like my late mother’s wisdom teeth and my father’s broken pipe – they were legacies I inherited and struggle to make myself throw away.
“And I can’t resist adding to this bizarre collection of family memorabilia. I have kept the hair from all my sons’ first haircuts as well as all their baby teeth.

“At least these I can justify as being cute as they’re often paired with very sweet letters to the tooth fairy”. In her new book The Simple Life, Sarah said she has promised herself that she would try not to leave her own kids wacky heirlooms.
She added: “These include the Victorian stuffed animals given to us over the years, as well as my father’s gas mask from the war.” Sarah, who battled breast cancer in 2022, revealed in November that her father Richard had died. She took to Instagram with an emotional tribute to him.
Alongside a series of snaps, she wrote: “Goodbye my wonderful, fun, supportive, lover of life, father – thank you for just being you – may you rest in peace xxxx.”
One wrote: “So sorry for your loss Sarah. I know how you feel as I’ve lost my father. Sending my thoughts to you Sarah take care xxxx.”
Another said: “I’m so sorry for your loss @sarah.beeny really hard when the last parent goes. Sending love and my deep condolences,” another person shared.
A third commented: “God bless you and your family during this time, a beautiful father leaves a large hole in your heart. Wonderful you loved each other so very much.” Sarah was just 10 years of age when she lost her mum to breast cancer.
