Eastenders’ Kat Slater could end up pregnant after growing closer to Nish Panesar, but the father could be another familiar face.
Kat (Jessie Wallace) and Nish (Navin Chowdhry) have been bonding in recent episodes, leaning on each other following the breakdown of their relationships. Kat announced her marriage to Phil (Steve McFadden) was over after learning he cheated on her with Emma (Patsy Kensit).
Meanwhile, Nish was left heartbroken after wife Suki Panesar (Balvinder) confirmed she was leaving him after falling for Eve Unwin (Heather Peace). During Monday’s episode (January 22), Nish asked Kat out on a date, but she turned him down, explaining it was too soon after Phil.

But in tonight’s instalment of the BBC soap, Nish turned on the charm once again. After Stacey (Lacey Turner) revealed the truth about Nish almost killing Eve, he won Kat over by explaining he was heartbroken and it was only a moment of madness.

Later, during their date at Walford East, a jealous Phil made cruel jibes at Kat, causing her to rush out. After a heart-to-heart, Nish invited Kat back to his place and they ended up falling into each other’s arms.
Daily Star has now quizzed one of the world’s most popular artificially intelligent “creative” tools Bard AI to see if Kat could fall pregnant – but the father may come as a surprise to some.

The program explained: “Kat could have another baby with Alfie. They’ve already had children together; Tommy, Bert and Ernie. Kat and Alfie have a notoriously on-again, off-again relationship. They’ve been through a lot together, including infidelity, heartbreak and loss.”
It speculated that Kat could turn to Alfie for comfort after learning about Phil’s infidelity, adding: “EastEnders fans have long been speculating about the possibility of Kat and Alfie having another child.” AI went on: “It will be interesting to see what the future holds for Kat and Alfie. Whether or not they have another child, their relationship is sure to continue to be a source of drama and excitement for EastEnders fans.”

EastEnders viewers have been longing for a reunion for Kat and Alfie since he returned to Walford in September 2022. Although he initially attempted to win Kat back, Alfie eventually accepted that the two could only be friends. But now that Kat has ended her relationship with Phil, the door to a Kat and Alfie reunion has been opened once again.
