Fans of the hit E4 coming-of-age show were quick to gush over the pair coming together for a good catch-up. Many were left stunned and called on the pair to bring the other two lads in for a full-blown reunion.

One user took to the comments section of the post to share their thoughts, writing: “I legitimately don’t think either of you look any older than you did on the show.” Whilst another fan was left completely stunned at the pair’s long-lasting friendship, referencing an iconic line from the show: “Oooooooooooh FRIEND.”

A third fan was equally as surprised, gushing over the duo: “Easily could do Inbetweeners again, none of you look much older than on the show! Would be the best TV comeback show ever to be fair.”

Whilst a fourth said that they were demanding some kind of the show to be brought back to indulge former viewers – “A podcast with the 4 of you would LITERALLY break the internet; I’d pay ANYTHING for that to become a reality.”

Despite receiving a horrific scathing from critics during its first run in 2008, The Inbetweeners has gone on to become a cult classic. It has since been described as one of the most successful British sitcoms of the 21st century.

The two lads, together with co-stars Blake Harrison and Simon, reunited ten years after the show first aired and reflected on their time in the show and the legacy it now has. Titled ‘Fwends Reunited’, fans were not best pleased with the reunion, as many believed it to be a new episode of the show.

Since the show ended in 2010, each of the main actors have gone on to bigger and better things, many of them still continuing to act. Some have gone on to become staples of current British comedy.

James continues to act, having played a younger version of Del Boy in a Only Fools and Horses spin-off Rock and Chips. Thomas also carried on with his acting career after the show finished airing – going on to star in other comedies including Fresh Meat and film The Festival.

Simon Bird has also become an acting star, dominating much of Channel 4’s comedy content including latest project Everyone Else Burns. Blake would continue to have sporadic appearances in several other shows including Death in Paradise and The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret.
