Love Island star Joe Garratt looked unrecognisable before dropping three stone.
The reality star, 27, shot to fame when he entered the Love Island villa in 2019 and coupled up with Lucie Donlan. Joe recently returned for Love Island All Stars, however, his journey ended before it could even begin.
He lasted just six days before his fellow Islanders dumped him from the show in a shocking twist on Friday (February 9). The TV star joked: “I’ve taken longer baths than my time in that villa. maybe a third time lucky will be the one?”

Fans were first introduced to Joe when he appeared in the original line-up nearly five years ago. Upon entering the villa, he caught the eyes of his fellow Islanders thanks to his cheeky personality and curly locks.

His muscly physique also didn’t go unnoticed. But this hasn’t always been Joe’s statement look. Prior to entering the villa, he lost a whopping three stone. The former semi-professional rugby player admitted the weight gain came following surgery on his knee.
With eight weeks of minimal movement, Joe found himself piling on the pounds. However, his return to training and healthy eating allowed him to drop 20kg.

Joe, who hails from South East London previously told The Sun: “I used to be a lot bigger and dropped a lot of weight quite quickly through training and eating healthy.
“So always had a bit of loose skin under my chin, I’m just trying to tighten that really. Plus I think it’s good to take care of your skin, it’s the biggest organ on our body at the end of the day!”

Joe has shared a number of progress pictures from over the years. In 2020, he showed off his incredible weight loss with a video montage posted on Instagram.
Snaps included Joe as a teenager alongside a selection of snaps following his transformation, displaying his chiselled abs and toned torso. Referencing the term “glow up”, the Love Island star added the caption: “You could say I had a ‘Joe Up’.”
