David Potts’ earnings uncovered as he’s set to bag six-figure sum after CBB

Ibiza Weekender star David Potts was declared the winner of Celebrity Big Brother in thrilling scenes last week.

Beating out second-placed Strictly star Nikita Kuzmin, David walked out to a huge round of applause from fans as he was voted the most popular housemate on the show. He also was able to beat out fellow finalists, Louis Walsh, Fern Britton and Colson Smith to come out on top.

During his time on the show, the public warmed to David’s loud personality as he provided much-needed entertainment for both his fellow housemates and the viewers watching the show at home. He also was able to open up on his struggles including the homophobia he faced in school and issues he had with his weight.

But the sweet-hearted lad was able to appeal to the public’s better nature and was announced as the victor of the first series of the show’s revived run on ITV. Now, it seems that he will be cashing on his success on the show as his earnings have been revealed.

David was declared the winner of Celebrity Big Brother on Friday

Speaking to The Sun, celebrity PR manager Ed Hopkins said that David will be raking in the cash thanks to his stint on the show. He added that his win on the show could be the beginning of a huge new stage in his career after first appearing on Ibiza Weekender.

Hopkins declared: “I’m confident he will be signing six-figure deals in the coming months. I’m sure projects are already signed and agreed, and if he works hard, there’s no reason why he couldn’t earn a million in the next two years. ITV will look after him.”

Potts has been in the public eye since he first appeared on the Ibiza and Magaluf Weekender shows in 2016. However, due to the show’s low reach and placement on ITV2, not many people will have known about David’s bubbly personality – until now, says the PR manager.

Professional PR manager Ed Hopkins sees this as the making of Potts’ new career

“I think that’s what’s gonna really benefit him from doing this show,” he continued. “He will become much, much more of a household name on a primetime TV show on ITV.

“All of the shows he’s done in the past are quite niche shows that portray his fun personality. But they’re very boozy, drinky shows and party driven – Celebrity Big Brother has really shown off his personality to full effect.”

Ed added that David’s win will provide numerous new opportunities to get his name out there, which Potts has already manifested. From brand deals on Instagram and celebrity appearances, David has already harnessed the power of social media, according to Hopkins, and this means he will be able to charge more for full social media campaigns.

Hopkins also said that new TV opportunities could be on the cards for David, adding that he could become the new Alison Hammond, who was catapulted to fame after appearing on the third series of the civilian series in 2002. “I think he’s definitely opened up doors for radio, and I think this will also open up doors for presenting as well, like cameo red carpet presenting as well as competition segments for the likes of This Morning,” he added.
