Iconic comedian unrecognisable as he’s transformed into OAP – can you tell who it is?

We bet you can’t guess which celeb this is… A famous comedian was transformed into a pensioner for a TV stunt.

And it was so good they are unrecognisable. The funnyman got the bizarre makeover to see what life is like for older folk.

We’re pretty sure you won’t be able to work it out so I’ll tell you – it’s Jon Richardson. It was for an experiment for the new series of his show Meet The Richardsons.

An insider said: “Jon was transformed into an OAP. The change was nothing short of incredible.

“Jon loved having such a brilliant disguise and used the opportunity to get up to mischief. He went out to a pub and annoyed the punters for a laugh.”

Jon has become a familiar face in the British comedy scene since he joined the 8 out 10 Cats does Countdown family back in 2011.

Since then, Richardson has gone on to establish a successful comedy career for himself and has bagged yet another new show for Channel 4.

The programme, Jon Richardson: Take My Mother-in-Law, saw the comedian embark on a journey with his mother-in-law Gill as they search for a Spanish retirement home for her.

It won’t be the first time that Jon has worked with his family, as the comedian has been starring alongside his wife in their own comedy series for the past three years.

His wife is Lucy Beaumont a British actress, comedian and writer from Hull who’s made appearances in Doctors, Millie Inbetween and Drunk History.

Jon and Lucy met when they were set up by mutual friend and fellow comedian Roisin Conaty, however at first Jon didn’t want to go out with her.

Opening up about how he tried to “repel her” during an appearance on The Jonathon Ross Show, he said: “Roisin Conaty set us up and for months I said ‘if you like this girl don’t get us involved because I’ll ruin her f**king life’.”

See what happens on the new series, which starts on April 8 on Dave.
