This Morning viewers got more than they bargained for when the show’s resident guide dog showed more than he wanted.
Viewers once again tuned into the ITV show on Tuesday (April 16) as Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard returned to host the programme. As the titles rolled, the pair were seen on the far left of the studio, ready to welcome the public for another edition.
But Cat and Ben were also joined by Buddy, the show’s autism assistance dog in training for the current stint of the programme. Through the years, the show has adopted a dog and trained the furry friend to become a guide dog to help those in need get a much needed help in living a normal life.

As the show got underway in the latest episode of the programme, Buddy was seen sitting on the floor as Ben, 49, and Cat, 47, introduced the puppy to the audience once again. Shephard began to play with the dog as Cat gave an update on how his training had been going.
“We have an update from Buddy, so Buddy has actually been on his first no-lead walk,” Cat beamed. “He was let off the lead and he behaved perfectly.
“He was set off in the park – not too many children or other dogs around to distract him,” she continued. “They kept calling him to come back and he did a really, really good job; and he also hung out with his other step-brothers and step-sisters Bertie and Daisy.”
However, whilst viewers were shown clips of Buddy’s time in the park playing with his pals, other viewers were more distracted by Buddy’s rather obvious privates that had popped out. In several shots whilst Buddy was playing with Ben, he had a visible erection, which left some fans completely gobsmacked, taking to social media to joke about the accidental mishap.
One fan watching the show at home simply shared a GIF of a lipstick being twisted open, signifying Buddy’s privates. A second user quipped: “Buddy seems excited to be on the show,” followed by a pair of eye emojis.
However, some fans were oblivious to the rather glaring faux pas and were thrilled to see the resident pup back in the studio once again. “Aww Buddy’s in the studio!” wrote one account.
Another user added: “ITV, it’s not too late! Get Ben or Cat to host Paul O’Grady’s For the Love of Dogs! Look at them on This Morning with Buddy the dog,” which was then followed by a heart-eyed emoji.
Ben and Cat continued to present the show, seemingly unwilling to address the elephant in the room. The pair went on to joke about the rather putrid smell of Buddy’s treats and had a rather lewd interaction as Cat asked Ben: “Do you want a treat?”, leading to laughs from the crew behind the scenes.
This Morning airs every weekday at 10am on ITV1 and ITVX.
