EastEnders legend Ian Beale (played by Adam Woodyatt) has been acting rather suspiciously in recent episodes, but his big secret is set to be revealed.
The Walford businessman has been attracting suspicion in this week’s episodes as he acts rather odd prompting Cindy (Michelle Collins) and their son Peter (Thomas Law) to grow concern that Ian is hiding something.
Shutting down any questions, Ian tells his family that he is running for council again, but they are not convinced by his explanation.
Ian heads off to a council meeting but Peter isn’t buying it and checks up on him. After contacting the council, Peter discovers that his dad is lying and demands the truth.

Ian’s mysterious behaviour boils over into next week’s episodes of the BBC soap when he prepares to leave the Square for an alleged leadership training course in Manchester.
He tells Cindy that she can’t go with him raising more concerns. Cindy then peeks into Ian’s suitcase as she wonders what her partner is up to.
Assuming that Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) is covering for Ian, Cindy speaks to her about her worries and gives her the third degree.
Kathy bites back with words of advice as Cindy decides to confront Ian directly and asks whether he is having an affair, something he strongly denies.
But Cindy later makes another discovery that sends her suspicions into overdrive, and she asks George Knight (Colin Salmon) to drive her to a mysterious address.
Peter later finds out where Cindy is and, determined to find out the truth, decides to borrow Martin Fowler’s (James Bye) van and follows them.
Meanwhile, Bobby Beale (Clay Milner-Russell) is also curious, and when Peter won’t keep him updated with their dad’s drama, he secretly gets into the back of the van.
While it has not yet been revealed what Cindy and George find when they reach this address, Peter and Bobby arrive as they are confronting Ian, adding to the drama.
Back at the house, Cindy is unable to sleep, exhausted by what has unfolded over the past few days.
She eventually decides to speak to Ian, but she is in for yet another shock as her partner has another revelation for her.
Upset by the conversation, Cindy heads to The Vic for a drink where she is consoled by Peter. But what is Ian been hiding?
EastEnders fans will have to watch the drama unfold from Monday, July 15.
EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer
