Strictly Come Dancing rehearsals were plunged into chaos thanks to an intruder threat.
Strictly is being battered by its ongoing scandal involving accusations of bullying and misconduct during training sessions. An internal probe was set up to investigate the claims, and has already led to the dismissal of former pro Graziano di Prima.
But the latest drama is that of a security risk as an unknown intruder “scaled the wall” of the studio, just as the stars of this year’s series have begun their training. Reports had said that pros such as Kai Widdrington and Johannes Radebe were having lunch when security stepped into action to protect the cast.

According to a source, the professionals were “ushered inside” by security, with safety protocol being “beefed up” in the wake of the incident. An insider told The Sun: “A member of the public scaled a wall at the back of the building and security spotted them straight away and swept into action.
“The incident was dealt with very quickly and nobody came to any harm, but security always treat[s] the wellbeing of the show’s talent with the upmost [utmost] importance so they couldn’t take any chances,” they added. It was then revealed that this incident had taken place recently as professionals were allowed to go back to rehearsing for the new series, which kicks off in a few months.
It comes following claims that several of the BBC competition’s professional line-up risk losing their jobs, with a number of well-known stars “facing being axed”.. An insider claimed that the moves will be made ahead of the 2025 season.
It has been reported that five people could be culled from the show in the wake of the allegations being made against Giovanni Pernice and Graziano di Prima. Graziano has apologised for kicking his ex-celeb dance partner Zara McDermott, and Giovanni has denied all allegations of wrongdoing.
With the line-up unable to be changed for this year’s series, a source told The Sun that “the feeling is that Strictly needs to make a fresh start in 2025”. They claimed professionals may become “entitled and untouchable”, adding that for many of the show’s beloved pros, “this may be their last time rehearsing”.
However, the insider was quick to admit that the plan was “not a done deal” and that issues will be dealt with in a “carefully considered process, with other factors taken into account too.” Currently, no celebrity stars have been confirmed to be taking part on the show, though the names will be gradually revealed over summer.
