‘Shaken’ Jacqueline Jossa speaks on devastating burglary as special items snatched

Jacqueline Jossa has candidly spoken about being the victim of a terrifying burglary for the very first time.

The much-loved EastEnders star, 31, was left ‘shaken’ after cruel thieves ransacked the villa she was staying in last weekend. Jossa and her family were asleep in the Marbella holiday home as the thugs made their way in and snatched over £20,000 worth of possessions.

Amongst her precious stolen items was her dazzling engagement ring from former TOWIE star Dan Osborne as well as cash, designer clothes and electrical goods. According to reports, the couple were awoken to find two masked burglars shining torches in their rooms in the early hours of the morning.

The showbiz family were enjoying a group holiday with their two daughters Ella, nine, and Mia, five, as well as Dan’s son Teddy, eight, from a previous relationship. Now, the doting mum has broken her silence following the devastating incident.

The actress revealed the most heartbreaking part of the attack was that they swiped the money their daughter Mia had saved from her lost tooth. She told The Sun: “I get fuming about what they took from the kids – Mia’s little purse.

“It makes me so sad honestly, more sad than anything else. She lost a tooth, so she had some money in her purse from the tooth fairy. Her bag was all open and the money had even been taken out of her purse. Bless her.”

Previously, a source revealed that the family were left “shaken” by the horrifying incident. An insider told the publication: “Jacqueline and Dan are really shaken. She raised the alarm after seeing a torch and was faced with two men in balaclavas.

“Both men fled after they saw her. It is terrifying to think what could have happened if the kids had woken and seen the men in their bedroom. Jacqueline and Dan feel lucky it wasn’t worse.”

The Mirror recently shared snaps of the family’s two-week-long getaway, with the team of five spotted enjoying some downtime on the beach last week. Detailing the robbery, a friend told The Sun: “The villa has good security and Jacqueline and Dan have got CCTV.

“They think it took about ten minutes for the burglars to break in. It’s possible the men were in the property for 15 minutes. Jacqueline said it was totally silent. It was only when a flash of a torch woke her up did they realise something had happened.”

Jacqueline and Dan are the latest famous faces to be hit with a holiday home raid. Earlier this month, the BBC Radio 1 star Nick Grimshaw’s rented villa in Ibiza suffered a similar attack.

The broadcaster was enjoying a well-deserved getaway to mark his 40th birthday at the lavish home before the gang ransacked the property. It’s thought the radio star was targeted after a string of robberies across luxury living areas on the White Isle.

Grimshaw was joined by his mum Eileen and his fiancé Meshach Henry. The same gang reportedly hit other homes by releasing a sedative gas before breaking in.
