P Diddy has been stripped of any ‘special privileges’ in prison and won’t even have access to a TV, according to a former inmate.
The disgraced rapper P Diddy, real name Sean Combs, was arrested last month in New York on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, transportation and engaging in prostitution. He vehemently denies all allegations and has entered a plea of not guilty but remains incarcerated at the Metropolitan Detention Center.
Despite his wealth and fame, it’s reported that the hip-hop star – known for his extravagant lifestyle and wild parties – is being treated no differently than any other prisoner. Timothy Smith, a star from Married at First Sight who previously served time in a US federal prison, has provided an insight into life behind bars.

Smith claims that Diddy’s current jail conditions are likely to be “grim” and that his status affords him no “special treatment” whatsoever. He elaborated: “His money and wealth won’t get him any benefits. In the federal system, it’s so limited, you don’t get extra privileges because you’re rich. His wealth won’t help him in here, nothing at all.”
“You’re allowed a few basics like a tracksuit and sneakers from the commissary, but that’s about it,” he disclosed to Daily Mail Australia. “They do raids and if you try to stockpile, they take everything. People think there are TVs and radios, but where he’s at there’s nothing, not even a radio. You get a Bible and one book per week.”, reports the Mirror.
The 54 year old music mogul Diddy is staring down the barrel of potential legal action from an alleged 120 individuals, as attorney Tony Buzbee gears up to sue over claims of exploitation and sexual abuse. At a press conference, Buzbee lobbed accusations at Diddy, alleging he used horse tranquilizer to subdue his supposed victims – charges which Diddy vehemently denies.
Buzbee claimed one of the alleged victims was just 15 when she was reportedly “flown to New York City to attend a party,” drugged and “taken to a private room allegedly in the presence of Mr Combs.” In the midst of this scandal, Diddy’s mum, Janice Smalls Combs, has unleashed a fiery statement post her son’s arrest. Defending her boy against the sex trafficking and sexual abuse storm, she expressed being “saddened” by the accusations flung at him.
Pouring her heart out, Janice described the ordeal as “heartbreaking” and shared: “I come to you today as a mother that is devastated and profoundly saddened by the allegations made against my son, Sean Combs.”
She continued with a mother’s anguish: “It is heartbreaking to see my son judged not for the truth, but for a narrative created out of lies. To bear witness to what seems to be like a public lynching of my son before he has had the opportunity to prove his innocence is a pain too unbearable to put into words. Like every human being, my son deserves to have this day in court, to finally share his side, and to prove his innocence.”
