Maya Jama gets bombarded with messages about the sexy outfits she wears on Love Island.
The star has worn a string of sizzling dresses since taking over as host of the ITV dating show in 2023 and never fails to leave fans swooning at their screens. The presenter will be dazzling in the villa once again in the new series which kicks off on on Monday (June 9) at 9pm on ITV2.
Every series she gets people asking her how they can copy her look. Maya told the Daily Star: “People want to know where buy things. And I say, ‘You can rent it, probably!’”
Maya plans to go all out with her fashion on the new series. The 30-year-old plans to wear something really striking when she films the launch.
She said: “I always think everyone watches the first episode, so that’s the one that you have to go the most special for. I haven’t actually decided on the looks yet. But I like wearing like a long floaty in the daytime usually or a crochet. That’s usually my vibe.”
Maya is planning wear plenty of designer outfits throughout the series. A team of experts are doing everything they can to make sure she look sensational for every appearance.
She said: “This series we’re doing looks that are archive, vintage and 90s runway-inspired ones. They’re all from hidden archives that the designers have been hunting down for the last few months.
“It’s going to be very vintage. Everything should have a runway or a catalogue reference, which is fun.”
Maya is thrilled to be back as host for another series. The star admitted she loves it when there’s drama in the TV villa.
She said: “I love Movie Night as it is always full of drama. My glam team definitely help to psych me up for the next twist and shock arrival.” Maya is so obsessed with the show she struggles to stay impartial during filming.
She added: “I have to stop myself from speaking my mind during the Casa Amor recoupling! Although if you asked when I’ve most wanted to intervene I’d say all the time!”
This year marks the show’s 10th anniversary and producers are promising it will be must-see TV. Insiders have teased there will be lots of twists and turns.
