Sheridan Smith lands 'dream job' with new prime time show

Sheridan Smith has landed her “dream job” on a dog grooming show.

The actress and singer, 38, will host a new prime time BBC One series called Pooch Perfect.

Sheridan is a huge pet lover who owns six dogs.

Last night she said: “To combine my love of dogs with a new job presenting for the BBC was a match made in heaven.

“Everyone who knows me will understand that animals, and especially dogs, are very special to me.”

She added: “I live at home with six dogs, so presenting a show dedicated to our four-legged best friends didn’t take much consideration. For me it is literally the dream job.”
