Kelly Clarkson Almost Had 'Brain Aneurysm' as She's Given 4 Days to Record Song in Six Languages

The former ‘American Idol’ champion is struggling to record her new single called ‘I Dare You’ in six different languages including French, Hebrew, and Arabic.
    Apr 19, 2020
AceShowbiz – Kelly Clarkson thought she was “going to have a brain aneurysm” as she recorded six languages for her new single “I Dare You” in just four days.
The 37-year-old singer dropped the new tune on Thursday night, April 17, 2020, and appeared on “The Tonight Show: Home Edition with Jimmy Fallon” to talk about the process of laying down the track.
While Kelly “literally begged” her record label to give her ample time to hit the studio for the tune, it ended up that she only had four days to record all the versions.
    [embedded content]
“It’s not their fault, it’s just how it happened, but I was like, ‘Please don’t send me all these languages at once, to record at once.’ And I recorded all of them in four days,” she sighed. “I thought I was going to have a brain aneurysm one night. Because my brain – I mean, I’ve never even spoken Hebrew or Arabic, you know?”
    [embedded content]
Kelly is joined by French singer Zaz for the French version of “I Dare You”, Moroccan performer Faouzia for the Arabic version, Blas Canto for the Spanish version, Israeli star Maya Bouskilla for the Hebrew version, and electropop duo Glasperlenspiel for the German one.
    [embedded content]
While she struggled with the Hebrew and Arabic versions, Kelly felt more comfortable singing in European languages, as she “grew up singing opera” and therefore learned to perform in different languages as a child.
    [embedded content]
Now Kelly is hoping that dropping the new tune amid the coronavirus pandemic will help remind the world that we are united as one.
    [embedded content]
“I feel like (we) were in a world – even before pandemic times, I mean this song ironically is very fitting right now, but before pandemic times – it’s no secret like, as a nation, we’re super divided,” she explained.
    [embedded content]
“As a world we’re getting even more divided. So I thought this song would be cool to do in that sense and then all this happened and we were like, ‘Well, I guess we’ll just keep the release date,’ since we’re super connected now globally.”

The Weeknd dominates the single chart in the United Kingdom with his latest hit single while his new album ‘After Hours’ rounds up the top 5 in the Albums chart.
    Apr 19, 2020
AceShowbiz – The Weeknd’s huge hit “Blinding Lights” is at the summit of the U.K. singles chart for an eighth week after topping Friday’s April 17, 2020 Official Charts Company rundown.
The track, which is the biggest selling of 2020 in Britain and has had three separate spells at number one, saw off competition from Saint Jhn’s “Roses”, which climbs to number two.
Dropping one place to three is Drake’s “Toosie Slide”, while Dua Lipa has two tracks, “Physical” and “Don’t Start Now”, in the fourth and fifth spots respectively.

Indie rockers The Strokes’ sixth studio album “The New Abnormal” is this week’s highest new entry at three, with Tory Lanez’s “The New Toronto 3” at four, and The Weeknd’s “After Hours” completing the top five.

Brandon Flowers Bans His Kids From Listening to Morrissey's Songs Due to His Racist Views

    Instagram

The Killers frontman, who’s also The Smiths superfan, says he won’t encourage his children to listen to Morrissey’s music because of the latter’s support for far-right groups.
    Apr 18, 2020
AceShowbiz – The Smiths superfan Brandon Flowers won’t play Morrissey’s music to his kids due to the singer’s allegedly racist views.
The Killers frontman is such a huge Smiths fan he once kept a cup Morrissey drank from in a cafe, and invited their former guitarist Johnny Marr on stage to perform with him at Glastonbury last year 2019.
However, although he still listens to The Smiths due to his admiration for Marr, Brandon doesn’t plan to convince his three kids, aged between nine and 12, to share his obsession due to the “Panic” singer’s support for far-right groups.
“I don’t think Marr should be held back because of Morrissey, so I don’t regret it,” he tells British newspaper The Times of his The Smiths fandom. “It is difficult to separate it (the band) from him, and I’m not going around playing the music in front of my kids.”
However, he says that if the band’s songs did pop up on the radio, he’d still listen.
“If What She Said came on the radio (when I was) with my kids, I wouldn’t change it,” the American rocker adds. “It’s still an amazing song, so I’m not that serious, where I would change the station. I don’t agree with him, but I’m not going to burn my CDs by The Smiths or anything.”
Flowers previously said he still regarded Morrissey as “a king” because of his musical achievements, but confessed to having forgotten about the controversy over his comments supporting the far-right For Britain party and other comments on race.

Lauren Jauregui Warns People to Keep Their Distance Through '50ft.'

    Instagram

Days prior to the song release, the former Fifth Harmony member revealed on social media that she wrote the single ‘from a space of reflection on how I interact with the world energetically.’
    Apr 18, 2020
AceShowbiz – Former Fifth Harmony star Lauren Jauregui’s new song “50ft.” is a stark warning for people to keep their distance.
Written in December (19), long before coronavirus lockdown measures came into place worldwide, the tune sees Jauregui detail how she sees through “the bulls**t” and keeps only an “exclusive” group of people close to her side. She keeps everyone else at a 50-foot distance, especially if they’re not supportive of her.
“I wrote it from a space of reflection on how I interact with the world energetically,” Jauregui said on Instagram while debuting the single’s cover image.
“This artwork truly encapsulates the feeling of distance spoken about in the song while asserting the closeness of my relationship to my loved ones (pictured with me are my mom and sister) who hold me the f**k down always and forever in the midst of it all.”

A video for the tune was shot in December with her family and closest friends, and shows the star enjoying a gorgeous day in her Florida family home.
    [embedded content]
After Fifth Harmony disbanded, Lauren officially launched her solo career in 2018 with the slow-burning single “Expectations”. She has since appeared on the “Birds of Prey: And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn” soundtrack with “Invisible Chains”, and released the single “Lento”, with Puerto Rican reggaeton musician Tainy, last month (March).

Lil Uzi Vert Appears to Sarcastically Laugh at Playboi Carti's New Song

    Twitter/Instagram

This arrives after the Philadelphia rapper blatantly calls the song ‘Just Meh’ on Twitter as soon as it was released in addition to clowning his longtime collaborator for his tweet.
    Apr 18, 2020
AceShowbiz – Playboi Carti is poised to release his highly-anticipated album “Whole Lotta Red” soon, but before that happens, he treated his fans to a fresh single titled “@ MEH” on Thursday, April 16. The responses were pretty much mixed, and among the critics was Carti’s alleged foe Lil Uzi Vert.
Uzi appeared to react sarcastically to Carti’s new song in a recent post on his Twitter account on Friday, April 17. He’s been doing some sort of things to taunt Carti. That included laughing at a good review of “@ MEH” from Maaly Raw, who praised the song by tweeting, “New Carti S**t Slap.” Seemingly thinking that it was ridiculous, Uzi responded to the tweet with a single laughing and crying emoji.

Lil Uzi Vert laughed at Playboi Carti’s new song.
This arrives after Uzi blatantly called the song “Just Meh” as soon as it was released. The Philadelphia rapper also clowned Carti for his tweet when he announced the release date of his new album. “MoNDay,” so Carti wrote on his account. Shortly after, Uzi followed it up with the exact same message on his own page.
Uzi also hinted that he would sabotage Carti’s upcoming album. “Soon as HE drop imma drop again,” he said.
The whole thing between Uzi and Carti unsurprisingly confused fans, who were wondering if the beef between Uzi and his longtime collaborator was real or if they were playing around. “IS CARTI AND UZI BEEFING OR ARE THEY COLLABING I NEED ANSWERS,” one frustrated fan asked.
Another confused fan added, “Uzi is bullying the f**k outta this n***a carti bro what is happening right now.” Meanwhile, one comment read, “Me trynna figure out if Uzi and Carti beefing or not.”
Carti has yet to comment on the supposed disses.
