Actress Rebel Wilson is taking a leaf out of Golden Globes host Ricky Gervais’ presenting book and plans to savage BAFTA bosses during tonight’s glitzy ceremony.
The Hollywood starlet is plotting to name and shame in front of a packed room of film execs and A-listers when she presents the award for Best Director after the awards failed to nominate a single female in the category.
Chatting on the red carpet at the Royal Albert Hall in West London, Rebel said: “We need to push diversity.
“I plan to make a few comments about it on stage.
“I’m going to see how host Graham Norton plays it and then I might throw in a few cheeky digs of me own.”

The Pitch Perfect actress continued: “There are some real heavyweights this year in Best Direftor but we need to push diversity in general.”
After the EE BAFTA nominations were revealed, there was a huge public backlash for the lack of women and people of colour nominated.
Acknowledging the problem, Amanda Berry, CEO of BAFTA, told Sky News: “We did a scheme three years ago to try and support women in the industry, to get them onto the next stage of their career.

“I think we absolutely need to do more of that, we will do more of it.”
Talking about her role in gritty film Jojo Rabbit which is up for six awards, the Aussie starlet said: “It’s such a special film.
“I am directed by one my favourite directors so it’s really special to be here.”
As well as Jojo Rabbit’s six nods, Joker has an staggering eleven nominations, while The Irishman and Once Upon A Time… have ten each.
The 2020 EE BAFTAs will be shown tonight, 9pm and BBC One.
