Coronation Street’s David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) is going to put himself and his children Max and Lily in a deadly situation after making a potentially fatal mistake.
Coronation Street spoilers have revealed that David is going to exhaust himself as he attempts to keep visiting his wife Shona (Julia Goulding) in Leeds, as she needed a specialist facility.
After waking up from her coma, which she fell into after being shot by Derek Milligan, she woke up and suffered amnesia, failing to remember who David was.
David had initially been told it was unlikely she was ever going to wake up, as doctors had declared her braindead and warned David to be prepared for the worst.
Shona has been missing from the soap for several weeks as she seeks treatment, but David has been determined to keep seeing her.

As David heads to Leeds once again to see his wife, he opens up to Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) about how difficult he is finding everything, and he feels like things are getting on top of him.
However, it may be too little too late as an exhausted Davis struggles to stay awake while driving Max and Lily to school.
He falls asleep at the wheel, and ends up driving the car head-on into a skip.

Fans know that Shona will be off-screen for the foreseeable future as Julia has gone on maternity leave after giving birth to her first child.
She had son Franklin Wolf Silver with husband Ben late last year, meaning Shona will be in Leeds for a long time.
