Jason Donovan has revealed the most challenging aspect of joining the Dancing On Ice line-up – putting on his shoes each day.
The Aussie heartthrob, 52, is one of 12 celebs taking to the rink next January, in the hopes of being crowned the Dancing On Ice champion.
However, with just weeks to go before the competition kicks off, Jason admitted he’s struggling to lace up his skates in the morning.
During an appearance on Lorraine earlier this week, the former Neighbours star dished the dirt on the “biggest challenge” he’s faced in training to become a figure skater.
He told host Lorraine Kelly: “I have been doing Dancing On Ice, I am in training, I have been working very hard.

“I have to say, Lorraine, the biggest challenge for me is putting the shoes on in the morning.
“That takes about 15-20 minutes with the laces, but I am working hard.”
Ice skates are notoriously tricky boots to wear – skaters can experience extreme pain from ill-fitting shoes, and it is recommended that beginners wear thick socks to protect their feet.
Challenges aside, Jason admitted his professional skating partner, Alexandra Schauman, has been nothing but supportive since his training began.

He said: “Alex [Alexandra Schauman], my partner, is wonderful and it’s a great challenge.
“I am really looking forward to the live shows in January next year, so that’s really exciting.”
The actor’s chances of success are high, considering Alexandra’s track record – last year, she romped home to victory with skate partner Joe Swash.
Jason isn’t the only famous face gearing up to hit the rink in 2021 – Denise Van Outen, Myleene Klass and more have signed up to take part.

The official start date for the series launch has yet to be announced, but it is expected to air in early January.
As usual, hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield will return to front the festive display, joining an exciting panel of judges.
Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean, Ashley Banjo and John Barrowman will resume their roles as judges, casting their verdict on each glittering skate performance.
