Little Mix ‘s singing show The Search is facing the axe after just one series, we can reveal.
The BBC contest is said to be “at risk” after ratings dropped to only 1.6 million.
It has flopped despite being given a primetime Saturday slot.
A show insider said: “There were high hopes for this show because Little Mix have such a big fanbase.
“But it hasn’t worked. To say it has flopped would be an understatement.
“Top brass at the Beeb are already saying they might ditch it. It’s a shame, but 1.6 million viewers on Saturday night is a disaster.”
A spokesman for the BBC last night made no comment over the future of The Search.

The show has been dogged by scheduling issues. It was due to air in the spring but had to be delayed due to coronavirus.
Then last weekend the semi final was ditched at the last minute because the Government’s lockdown announcement was delayed.
Our insider said: “When the briefing kept being delayed, the BBC said there was no way they would delay Strictly Come Dancing.
“But they were happy to drop The Search from the schedules with just minutes to go.”

Jesy, 29, will now also not be hosting tomorrow’s MTV EMAs with her bandmates Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Perrie Edwards and Jade Thirlwall.
The news was confirmed today (Saturday November 7) by the band’s spokesman Simon Jones on Twitter.
The celebrity PR wrote: “Jesy is unwell and will not be appearing on tonight’s final of Little Mix The Search. She will also not be hosting or performing at tomorrow’s MTV EMA’s.”
