Loose Women ‘s Gloria Hunniford has said her pals Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford are “disappointed” to have been dropped from their weekly This Morning slot.
Speaking to The Mirror, the star said the pair find it “difficult to understand” why their weekly Friday slot has seen them be axed and replaced with Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary.
From next month onwards, the pair will take over from Ruth and Eamonn and Gloria claims they are “disappointed”.
She told the publication: “That one was very hard to understand – I don’t fully understand the reasons behind it.”
“I’ve talked to Eamonn since, and he’s clearly disappointed.”

Gloria continued: “I think they find it very difficult to understand why the change.”
Speaking about ITV’s changes, amid reports its undergoing a diversity shake-up, she adds: “There are a lot of lovely new young presenters coming in, which is good.
“They’re trying to cater for every age group.”

Following the news of their replacements, the pair released a joint statement and described the change as “a changing of the guard”.
They also insisted to their fans that it is not goodbye as they will be taking over from Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield during the half-term.
The married presenting duo added: “It’s simply Au Revoir until the next half term.”
They also addressed Alison and Dermot in their statement.
Eamon and Ruth said: “We hope you make Alison and Dermot as welcome as you’ve made us over the years.”
Gloria also spoke to The Mirror about Andrea McLean’s exit from Loose Women and insisted that the star has left on her own accord.
She said: “She really has left of her own accord – she wasn’t asked to leave or anything like that, in fact quite the opposite.”
