Ant and Dec fans spot cringeworthy I'm A Celeb blunder on Saturday Night Takeaway

Saturday Night Takeaway returned to our screens last year after a two-year hiatus, with hosts Ant McPartli n and Declan Donnelly reuniting onstage.

The first show was a smash hit with viewers, as the comedy duo flexed their presenting chops with celebs guests like Camila Cabello and Nicole Scherzinger.

But eagle-eyed viewers couldn’t help but notice a bit of a blunder right before the final credits rolled, as Declan mistakenly branded the show as “I’m A Celeb”.

Ant and Dec joined the Pussycat Dolls on stage as they performed a medley of their hit tracks, modelling some seriously saucy outfits.

Armed with “censored” signs, Ant and Dec covered the ladies’ modesty – while their own clothes fell to the ground, revealing matching vests and boxer undies.

The steamy send-off might have left Dec flustered, as he made a hilarious blunder as he bid farewell to the viewers.

He said: “We’ll be back next Saturday with I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!”

The Geordie star confused Saturday Night Takeaway with their other major ITV series, I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

Over on Twitter, the blunder didn’t escape viewers’ attention, as they took to their keyboards to chuckle over the confusion.

One said: “Am I the only one who noticed that Dec said ‘See you next Saturday for I’m A Celebrity’ ???”

A second chinned: “Brilliant first show, so glad to have it back and perfectly finished with a slightly flustered Dec @antanddec surrounded by Pussycat Dolls thinking he was still in Australia….”

And a third added: “DID DEC REALLY SAY “SEE YOU NEXT WEEK ON I’M A CELEB” I’M CRYING.”

Declan made light of the mishap over Twitter later on in the night, putting his hands up and apologising for the slip of the tongue.

He said: “Thanks for all the lovely messages, we’re so happy you enjoyed #SaturdayNightTakeaway tonight, we had enormous fun (even tho I thought it was #ImACeleb at the end!Face with tears of joy).

“It’s great to be back! D x.”
