Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway finale hit our screens tonight, as the hosts recorded the special episode from their homes.
In place of the usual line-up, Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly went on a trip down memory lane, looking at some of the show’s most iconic moments.
Revisiting their 2016 prank on James Corden, the duo invited The Late Late Show host to join the show via webcam.
James popped up on a video call, tuning in from his home in Los Angeles, where he is currently self-isolating with his family.
Determined to one-up the troublesome twosome after the prank, James chided: “Well I tell you what it’s done, is its made me really remember…
“How wonderful it’s going to be to get you both back.”

However, as soon as he started talking, viewers were left a little baffled by his accent.
Certain SNT fans were convinced the London-born actor’s voice had changed since moving to the US.
Taking to Twitter, one wondered: “Ooh la la, ain’t Corden got a bit posh.”
A second added: “Why’s James Corden putting that posh accent on?”
While a third agreed: “Was James Corden always this posh?”
In the infamous prank, Ant and Dec planted actors around The Late Late Show studios, intent on catching James out.
One parking attendant refused the Gavin and Stacey star entry into the car park, while a fake delivery driver stole his parking spot.

Throwing a fit, James pointed out that his face was plastered over the building, as the host of the world famous talk show.
Luckily, James has taken the hilarious prank on the chin – setting his sights on getting his own back on Ant and Dec.
