Ant's £20million post-divorce spending spree – including £1.5million dog battle

Ant McPartlin’s fortune has shrunk by more than £20million following his divorce, shock new figures suggest.

That is how much has vanished from the Britain’s Got Talent host’s wad within the past 12 months.

Ant, 44, has decided to dissolve one of his companies called Teecourt which in its last-filed accounts boasted £20m in assets.

On March 30 – just as the firm’s new accounts were due to be submitted – the TV star applied at Companies House to have it struck off meaning it can no longer trade, sell assets or make payments.

Ant and his co-host and pal Declan Donnelly remain the best-paid pair on British television raking in around £130,000 each from their ITV contract.

Each of them used to be worth an estimated £62m, according to finance experts.

But Ant’s decision to shelve one of his companies appears to show the true cost of his split from ex-wife Lisa Armstrong, 43, criminal fines and rehab – plus the price of starting a new life with lover Anne-Marie Corbett, also 43.

His divorce alone – which was finally settled in January (2020) after a long legal battle – has reportedly cost him £30m.

Ant’s 11-year marriage to make-up artist Lisa came under pressure as they struggled to have a child for several years and he battled insomnia and addiction to prescription drugs.

It turned bitter as he started a new relationship with Anne-Marie – the couple’s former personal assistant.

Ant sent numerous legal letters asking Lisa to stop liking tweets which referred to Anne-Marie as a `golddigger’ and `back-stabber’.

Lisa’s refusal to sign a non-disclosure agreement and a row over the custody of their labrador Hurley – who was being shared between the warring couple’s homes – swelled Ant’s legal bill to a reported £1.5m.

In the final settlement Lisa was said to get an undisclosed cash amount – reportedly around £20m – plus the old marital home in Chiswick, west London, worth £7m and shared custody of the dog.

Ant shelled out another £151,000 on fines and rehab after admitting an addiction to prescription drugs following a failed knee cartilage operation which left him in agony.

He had spent two months undergoing treatment before his arrest for drink-driving after his Mini hit another car in Richmond, south-west London, in March 2018.

The presenter, whose mum was in the passenger seat, was fined a record £86,000 and banned from the roads for 20 months after being found to be more than twice the drink-drive limit —

It led to him going back into rehab to help combat his boozing at a reported cost of £65,000.

He then forked out £6m on a mansion in Wimbledon, south-west London, for him, Anne-Marie, her two children and two dogs.

Another £1.6m was spent renovating the property which now boasts a cinema, office and conservatory with a swimming pool on the way.

In February he spent £2,000 on two designer Maltipoo puppies – a cross between a Maltese terrier and a poodle – called Bumble and Milo.

He also bought a new Range Rover and whisked Anne-Marie off on holiday to Florence, Italy, and Abu Dhabi in the UAE.

She has swapped a fondness for Zara dresses for designer outfits and handbags from Chanel, Alexander McQueen and Dior worth at least £10,000.

Despite the vast cash outlay Ant does not have any financial worries.

He and Dec raked in £15,124-a-day last year (2019) from their firm Hurley Promotions Ltd – named after Ant’s dog.

Saturday Night Takeaway and I’m A Celebrity remain two of the most popular shows on TV.

And in September they will release a new book to mark their 30th anniversary in entertainment which is set to be a best seller.
