A woman, who regularly screamed abuse at DJ Gilles Peterson and his family, has been found guilty of stalking and harassment.
Sarah Rook of Surbiton was labelled “frantic and extreme” by Mr Peterson, and hurled “racist words” towards his Japanese wife outside their London home, Stratford Magistrates’ Court heard.
The incidents took place between February and March outside his home and work.
Rook denied the charges and will be sentenced on 22 June.
Mr Peterson said she had she shouted “very extreme words” at him and his wife, and accused him of being a “paedophile” and a “rapist”.

“It was a very traumatic situation. I was concerned. It seemed to be so frantic and extreme,” he said.
The DJ’s wife Atsuko told the court Rook had “screamed” racist abuse at her “repeatedly”.
“It was racist words. it was targeted towards me,” she said.

During the hearing, the couple’s son showed footage of Rook outside the family home shouting and swearing towards their property.
Close protection officer, Peter Keyes, told the court he had spotted Ms Rook waiting outside the BBC’s Wogan House radio studios on 21 March while he helped Mr Peterson to his vehicle.
He said Mr Peterson turned to him and said: “She’s coming, that’s her, she’s coming.”

She has pleaded not guilty to racially aggravated harassment, stalking and an alternative charge of non-aggravated harassment.
While Rook did not give evidence in court, she did provide a handwritten statement which detailed how she was conducting a “freelance into the history of a jazz club owner linked to author John Steinbeck.
District Judge Cieciora convicted Rook of stalking the father-of-two, saying the 43-year-old had engaged in a “campaign against Mr Moehrle”.
