BGT fans fuming as public vote winners 'leaked' online ahead of final

Britain’s Got Talent fans have been left outraged after a list allegedly revealing the names of the winners of the public vote was leaked online just hours before Saturday’s grand finale.

The five finalists chosen by the judges after each semi-final will perform when BGT airs – as well as the five acts, who were kept secret after being put through by the public vote.

The winners of the public vote will be announced tonight but the names of the five lucky alleged acts have been leaked on social media, by sources not linked to ITV or BGT, leaving fans fuming.

BGT fans have voiced their annoyance at the major spoiler, which is circulating on Twitter.

Daily Star Online have decided not to reveal the names of the five acts who won the public vote out so as not to spoil the finale and have contracted BGT representatives for comment.

After five weeks of semi-final shows, the winner of the entire series will be announced on Saturday evening.

The final would usually take place in May following a week of exciting shows to whittle down the contestants.

But the coronavirus pandemic pushed it all back so fans have waited five months for the big finale.

Just like with the previous shows, all finalist acts have pre-recorded their performances the night before for safety reasons – but the winner, who is chosen by the public, will be announced live.

Already through are variety act Steve Royle, dancing duo Aaron and Jasmine; magician Magical Bones,Manchester comedy singer and performer Jon Courtenay, and stand-up comedian Nabil Abdulrashid.

It’s not the first time BGT final has been rocked by a social media leak.

ITV bosses were left fuming last year when the BGT: The Champions winner spoiled the results before the show even aired.

Dance duo Twist and Pulse were spotted showing off their trophy outside the Wembley Arena following the taping months before the series appeared on our screens.

Producers reportedly called the act and “told them off” for the move.

The BGT final will also feature performances by the combined companies of Les Miserables – The Staged Concert, The Phantom Of The Opera and Mary Poppins.

Some 60 performers will come together to give fans a taste of London’s West End, including Michael Ball, Matt Lucas, Carrie Hope Fletcher, John Owen-Jones, Shan Ako, Killian Donnelly, Zizi Strallen and Charlie Stemp.

The performance coincides with Les Miserables’ 35th birthday and The Phantom Of The Opera’s 34th birthday.

Britain’s Got Talent final airs on ITV at 7.30pm on Saturday
