Britain's Got Talent act 'better than Diversity' leave judges gobsmacked

Britain’s Got Talent returned tonight for it’s fabulous 14th series, and there was certainly some serious talent lining up for the first episode.

The final act left two of the judges Simon Cowell, 60, and Amanda Holden, 49, gobsmacked as they exclaimed the dance group were “better than Diversity”.

X1X Crew sent the judges and audience into meltdown with their jaw-dropping dance routine.

They travelled from Mumbai to be on the show, and the judges were glad they made the trip as their level of talent was phenomenal.

A gobsmacked Simon said: “That was exceptional.”

He continued: “I think in years to come we’re going to use you as the reference point.

“We’re going to say you’re not as good as the X1X crew.”

At the start of the show, hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly addressed the current coronavirus crisis in a heartfelt statement.

They reassured fans that they were abiding by social distancing rules.

Ant explained: “We just wanted to assure you that everything you’re about to see was filmed this year in January and February.”

Dec added: “We hope tonight’s show puts a smile on your face.”

Ant and Dec recently revealed that the Britain’s Got Talent live shows will return later this year after they were cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

BGT announced last month that they would still be airing the pre-recorded audition, but the live shows would be postponed.

Ant and Dec have now said that the live shows are expected to go head later this year, if the situation improves by then.

Discussing the upcoming 14th series on Radio 2, Ant told Dermot O’Leary: “The auditions start next Saturday a week tomorrow which we’ve already shot, there’s some great talent again this year.

“I think we’re going to do the lives later on this year hopefully, depending on the world.”

Dec continued: “You can’t really make any firm plans at the moment can you? Everything is slightly up in the air. But later on in the year probably for the lives I think.”

Britain’s Got Talent airs Saturdays at 8pm on ITV
