Caroline Flack’s mum has opened up about her daughter passing, and confessed her alleged altercation with boyfriend Lewis Burton and her looming trial was “just too much for her”.
The former Love Island host took her own life 18 days before she was set to face trial over assault charges following an incident involving Lewis at her Islington home in December.
Christine Flack decided to release Caroline’s final words with the Eastern Daily Press, after her advisers told her not to post the message.
She said: “Carrie sent me this message at the end of January but was told not to post it by advisers but she so wanted to have her little voice heard.
“So many untruths were out there but this is how she felt and my family and I would like people to read her own words.

“Carrie was surrounded by love and friends but this was just too much for her.”
“Her friends Molly, Lou, Sam, Liam and Simon need a very special mention and lots of thanks for trying so hard to keep her safe.”
Mrs Flack added: “Jody her twin sister was there her whole life for her but this time nothing could take away the hurt of such injustice.

“As Carrie would say: ‘In a nasty world, just be kind.'”
During Caroline’s unpublished statement, the 40-year-old said her arrest for allegedly assaulting her boyfriend meant “within 24 hours my whole world and future was swept from under my feet and all the walls that I had taken so long to build around me, collapsed”.
Elsewhere in the personal note, Caroline insisted she “took responsibility for what happened that night” but said it had been an accident and she “was not a domestic abuser”.

Caroline Flack was pronounced dead at the scene after police and paramedics were called to a flat in London on Saturday 15 February.
Police were made aware of “concerns for welfare” at the apartment in Stoke Newington just after 2.30pm and she was found “unresponsive” inside.
