Casualty is taking an ‘extended break’ as the medical drama has seemingly run out of episodes to air due to lockdown.
The BBC has confirmed that this weekend marks the final episode before the show has some time off, with filming reportedly suspended until next month.
Spoilers have revealed that this week’s last episode will see Holby City ‘s Max McGerry paying a visit.
Jacob Masters is set to betray Connie Beauchamp, with the on and off couple said to be sharing a steamy kiss in the episode.

The news the show is taking a break comes after Holby City aired its final episode ‘for a while’.
Last week, bosses revealed that the medical drama is going off air, but filming has started up again.
The BBC show’s official Twitter shared a statement with their 61.7k followers, breaking the disappointing news.

It said: “We’ll be off air for a while after tonight’s episode. We’re already filming again and will be back later in the year!”, adding a blue heart to the end of their tweet.
They have been filming a special comeback episode which will see the hospital faced with the coronavirus pandemic.
BBC Studios’ head of continuing drama Kate Oates said: “It’s with great pleasure that we open the doors at Elstree to welcome back the exceptional cast and crew of Holby City.

It’s yet to be revealed whether Casualty will also be addressing the coronavirus crisis in future episodes
