Contestants of Dancing On Ice 2020 have been “banned” from talking about Maura Higgins and Alexander Demetriou, it has been claimed.
The skating celebs have been told not to speak about the duo because the programme’s execs don’t want to the story gaining momentum.
According to an insider, the cast have been told to refrain from discussing the pair on social media.
A source told The Sun Online: “They told everyone that nobody should make a comment on social media or talk to fans or media about the story – even if it’s to defend Maura or Alexander.”

With a Maura and Alexandra ban put in place, they’re hoping the story will eventually die down.
The alleged censorship comes it was claimed Maura and Alex’s wife Carlotta Edwards, who also appears on the ITV show, were kept apart at Sunday night’s final over concerns of an argument.
The rumour-mill went into overdrive when Alex wasn’t pictured with his wedding ring during the show, having last seen wearing it in January.

Talk swirled around Maura and Alex when the former Love Islander split from her dancing beau Curtis Pritchard last week.
And reports suggested the pair separated over her close relationship with her skating partner, which allegedly caused friction between Alex and his wife Carlotta Edwards.
It was previously alleged that Carlotta didn’t trust the Irish babe and believed that her husband “had his head turned”.

“They have grown very friendly and it’s not gone unnoticed with the rest of the cast and crew – or Carlotta,” a source told The Sun Online.
“She is furious about their increasingly cosy relationship which has continued despite Maura being knocked out of the competition. There are clearly some feelings there which Maura can’t help.”
Meanwhile, Carlotta has posted several loved-up snaps with her other half on Instagram.
