EastEnders star Danny Dyer today joked that his character Mick Carter will die in this week’s boat drama.
The soap actor, 42, was on today’s This Morning chatting to Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford about the dramatic scenes.
When he was asked if Mick survived last night’s episode which saw him trapped in a sinking boat on the thames with wife Linda, he replied saying his character dies.
He said: “No, it’s me… I die. I was gutted. I go out strong.”
However the star appeared to be joking, as he added: “You know I can’t declare it…It’s a real shock who goes.”
Fans of the show have been left on tenterhooks wondering which of their soap favourites will die as part of EastEnders’ 35th anniversary.

The week-long anniversary kicked off last night with a dramatic episode showing a boat crash and leaving favourites fighting for their lives.
Mick and Linda had organised the booze cruise on the River Thames to celebrate winning the Pub of The Year competition.
But the boat crashed and Linda was left trapped below deck with her leg stuck – with rapidly rising water.
Danny continued: “Mick and Linda’s relationship… they love each other Its a strong bond between those two.
“He’s there for her… she’s off her nut again… he’s got to save her… or does he?”

Viewers will have to wait until tonight to find out the stars’ fates – and if Danny was doing a double bluff.
The last fans saw of the pair they were clutching hold of one another in the rising murky water.
With Linda’s ankle stuck fast, she turned to her pub landlord lover and told him: “You have to go. Think of Ollie.”
The terrified character said to her husband: “Nancy, Shirley, Johnny… they all need you!”
He replied romantically: “Do you think I’d ever leave you? I love you. If this boat goes down, I’m going down with it.”

Danny Dyer continued saying he wishes every episode was just as thrilling as the 35th anniversary ones.
He said: “We’ve taken the soap thing to a new level.”
Soap bosses have compared the show to a ‘Greek tragedy’ and hinted the character kicking the bucket on Friday’s show will leave viewers stunned.
Executive producer Jon Sen added: “There was only one candidate who could generate the kind of story we wanted to tell.”
This Morning continues tomorrow at 10am on ITV, with EastEnders airing tonight at 7.30pm on BBC1
