EastEnders' Jake Wood sparks meltdown as he strips topless to flaunt ripped body

EastEnders star Jake Wood sparked an online meltdown as he flaunted his abs after stripping topless for a smouldering selfie.

The EastEnders cast member, who plays Max Branning, showed off his toned muscles as he squinted at the camera in the snap with headphones in, sending his fans wild.

Jake, 47, looked a far cry from his alter ego in the picture, as he let his rippling abs steal the show as he leant forward to show them off.

He captioned the snap: “Happy Tuesday everyone. Stay positive.”

It didn’t take long for the compliments to pour in for the BBC star, as fans gawped at his muscles.

One posted: “Cor…that cheered me up.”

Another added: “Not a bad view.”

A third chipped in: “Looking good Jake!”

A fourth wrote: “My very handsome and gorgeous friend, brother and hero of mine Mr. Jake Wood!!”

Other fans also worried that Jake would get sunburn in the spring sunshine, as they begged him to make sure he had his sunscreen on.

Dad-of-two Jake keeps his impressive figure in shape thanks to his regular boxing training, which he has been doing since he was young.

He has his own boxing podcast, Pound For Pound, with ex-fighter and Sky Sports pundit ­Spencer Oliver.

Jake is also hoping to move the boxing over to TV, telling The Sun: “We have a TV company looking at it at the moment. It would be celebrities boxing on TV. I think the time is right for it.

“You see celebrities train for things like Strictly Come ­Dancing and we think it would work as it is a great sport. It would be great TV.”
