Danniella Westbrook is in talks to make a sensational return to EastEnders after beating her cocaine addiction.
The actress made her debut in the BBC soap as Grant and Phil’s sister Sam Mitchell 30 years ago when she was just 16.
The last of her several stints in the show was in 2016.
Now she has revealed she is in discussions to return to Albert Square once again.
The former I’m A Celebrity star says the BBC One soap is crying out for a new matriarchal character like legends Peggy Mitchell, Pat Butcher and Pauline Fowler.
She reckons her character Sam would be perfect to become the new queen of the Vic.

“I think I will go back,” she said. “Someone is talking to me at the minute about a return.”
“It’s my 30-year anniversary since the day I joined the show. I’m a different person today, a very different person.
“I think the show is missing people to play a matriarch. When I joined there was Pauline, Pat, Peggy – all them older characters.
“Sharon has only got so many people to play against now. You’ve got Sharon and Kathy and her and Sam have a lot of history.

“Sam hates Sharon. She s*** stirs, the Slaters are quite big and the Brannings are quite big and I’ve got a baby with Jack.
“He’s like the best looking thing in it.But it has to be the right thing for me. Obviously I’ve walked away from everything and started again.”
Danniella, 46, is convinced her comeback would be a success because she is drug-free, has no distractions in her life and can fully commit to a full-time role.
