Ed Sheehan has claimed his addictive personality has caused him to binge on junk food to the point of throwing up.
The 29-year-old chart topping star also says his famous collection of tattoos are a further example of his addictive traits, and hints he needs to monitor how much he drinks.
Ed shared his concerns during a lengthy interview in which he credits his 28-year-old wife, Cherry, with helping him turn his health around.
According to The Sun, the Castle On A Hill singer discussed his highs and lows with an undisclosed American self-help book publisher.

They quote the singer comparing himself to music icon, Sir Elton John, and saw troubling similarities between himself and the star – who famously overcame his own self destructive addictions – while reading the 73-year-old’s autobiography, Me.
The Sun quotes Ed saying: “I have a very addictive personality. Very, very addictive personality.
“I’m reading Elton John’s book at the moment and there are so many things that he did that I do.
“He would be like, ‘I would just go on an ice cream binge and eat four f***ing desserts until I throw it up’, and I was like, ‘I’ve done that before’. Or his martini binges, where he sees how many he can drink. And I’m like, ‘I’ve done that before too’.”

The flame haired singer went on to say he thinks binging in a way like Elton would lead anyone to feel “sad” the next day.
He allegedly continued: “I think things like sugar, sweet stuff, junk food, cocaine, alcohol, it feels good the more you do, but it’s the worst thing for you, I think.
“I think with addiction, it’s just very hard to moderate, but moderation is the key.
“I’m covered in tattoos and I kind of don’t do things by halves so if I’m gonna drink, I see no point in having a glass of wine. I’d rather have two bottles. Having a glass of wine is having something in moderation and probably isn’t going to affect your day the next day. But two bottles of wine probably might make you quite sad.”
During the interview, the singer is also reported to have claimed he would at times spend up to 19 hours a day trawling thought social media, and would order two meals a day which he would eat himself.

He credited wife Cherry – who he married in 2018 following three years of dating – with turning his life around.
Ed reportedly says he reduced his food and alcohol intake thanks to his wife, who he claims doesn’t drink much and eats healthily.
He also encourages other to eat salad – saying it is “not something to be scared of”.
