Emmerdale vicar Harriet Finch (Katherine Dow Blyton) is set to get personally involved in the DI Malone (Mark Womack) saga when she has sex with the bent copper.
Last week, she was horrified to learn of what was going on after her boyfriend Will (Dean Andrews) was badly beaten up by Malone’s cronies.
This week though, Harriet starts getting stuck in and calls the police intending to grass on her former colleague.
He, however, tells her that he’s stopped his dodgy dealings with Will, Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) and Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle).
But later this week, after Malone promises to keep away from Will, it’s clear that there is more to his relationship with Harriet.

Next week, viewers will see Harriet and Malone arguing in the church vestry.
With Harriet annoyed, Malone offers to leave – but it later becomes clear that he didn’t.
That’s because we see Dawn (Olivia Bromley) arriving at the church, while Malone buttons up his shirt after his moment of intimacy with Harriet.
Dawn heads off, completely unaware of what had been happening.

Harriet eventually leaves to go home after telling Malone they were a mistake, and is full of self-loathing.
But he texts her and asks to meet up again the next day – what will Harriet’s response be?
The next day, Harriet is still feeling guilty about her sordid encounter with the detective inspector.
Despite Harriet trying to be distant with Will, he is still hopeful that he can win her back around and Billy offers some advice.
But could the apparent words of wisdom end up pushing Harriet further away and into Malone’s arms?
Or could Harriet’s sleeping with Malone be part of a master plan to expose him?
Viewers have been speculating that Harriet is working undercover, however she has been known to give in to questionable temptations in the past.
Emmerdale airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7pm on ITV
