Gigi Hadid, 25, and Zayn Malik, 27,have been congratulated by his former One Direction bandmate Liam Payne after news broke that she is expecting their first child.
One Direction fans urged the band members to share their best wishes to the pair, but it seemed unlikely after rumours spread that they were all feuding since Zayn’s exit in 2015.
But Liam, 26, has broken his silence by sharing his congratulations to both Gigi and Zayn after their pregnancy announcement.
Speaking on his latest Instagram live, Liam said: “Also this week, didn’t really wanna leave it out, wanted to make sure I said something on my own place before I started getting asked about it relentlessly by everybody.
“I just wanted to say congratulations to Zayn and Gigi obviously, you know, they’re having a baby.”

The other three members, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Harry Styles, are yet to say anything publicly.
Zayn will be the third member of the group to become a father, with Liam having three-year-old Bear Payne with ex Cheryl.
Louis Tomlinson has four-year-old son Freddie from his romancer with Briana Jungworth.

Liam discussed Zayn’s sudden departure from One Direction in the middle of their world tour in 2015, admitting it took them by surprise.
He said to GQ Hype: “I think with Zayn’s particular exit and the way he chose to go, we haven’t really heard from him since he left,’ Liam told GQ Hype.
“He didn’t even say goodbye, if I am being honest. It was a really sordid scenario, from our side certainly. A bit strange. It’s difficult.”

Gigi finally confirmed her pregnancy after rumours spread that she was expecting in September, speaking about it to Jimmy Fallon, amid rumours that she is expecting a baby girl.
She said: “Obviously, we wished we could have announced it on our own terms but we’re very excited and happy and grateful for everyone’s well wishes and support.
“Especially during this time, it’s a nice silver lining to be able to be home and be together and really experience it day by day.”
