Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan has been told to go into self-isolation by his social media nemesis Lord Alan Sugar as they butted heads on social media again.
The businessman urged Piers to self-isolate due to him being in close contact with Susanna, who revealed she was taking two weeks off as her son had developed a persistent cough – a symptom of the virus.
Lord Sugar posted on social media: “If Susanna may have Corona passed on from her son.
“Does it not follow that as she has been in contact with Piers, he should be in isolation also?”
Piers has been encouraging people to follow government guidelines to prevent the spread of the virus, which is what Susanna did.
She spoke to him on GMB this morning, as she reassured viewers that she had no symptoms.
Susanna said: “One of my children has a cough. And that came on yesterday. Before the briefing yesterday afternoon, the advice had been the person themselves would be confined to the house for seven days.
“Well, suddenly with these new drastic action measures, that changed yesterday afternoon.
“It meant if one member of your household had the cough or fever you would all have to go in self isolation for 14 days. Immediately, I thought I can’t go into work and work with you guys for 14 days.
“All the children are off. We’re two households.”
Piers joked: “I’ve heard some ways of avoiding working with me b
this is ridiculous.”
Susanna was replaced by breaking news presenter Charlotte Hawkins, who presents alongside the pair throughout the week.

However, Piers has seemingly confirmed that he will be on the show as usual tomorrow, sharing the news that Chief Secretary to the Treasury would be own the show.
He wrote: “UPDATE: Chief Secretary to the Treasury Steve will appear on GMB tomorrow.
“Only the 2nd cabinet minister to be on the show since the election.”
GMB continues tomorrow at 6am on ITV.
