Everyone knows that expectant mums are prone to a peculiar eating habit or two as the cravings kick in during their pregnancy.
But singer Grimes, who is expecting her first child with boyfriend Elon Musk, seems to be taking the quirkiness to a whole new level.
The 31-year-old has outlined her typically daily diet, and it’s unusual from the very moment she wakes up.
Instead of a refreshing cup of the hot stuff to start her day, Grimes gets her coffee kick in a chewable form.

Having chewed her coffee, the pop star’s breakfast is an unusual creation of her own.
She tells Harper’s Bazaar : “I make this thing called ‘butter toast,’ which is where I melt a stick of butter on a plate, and then I put toast, and then turn the toast over so the toast is completely saturated in butter. Then, I put a little bit of jam on it and eat that. It’s actually incredible.”
Grimes admits she struggles to eat healthily and hates vegetables, which brings us to one of her favourite meals, which she calls ‘sludge’.
The musician describes her creation as “kinda gross” but “weirdly good”.
She adds: “You take couscous, you make the couscous … you take a ton of Vegenaise and you take a ton of sriracha.
“You throw it all in and you just make this sludge, this couscous sludge that’s spicy … it’s weirdly good.”

Grimes, real name Claire Elise Boucher, went public with her relationship with Tesla CEO Musk when they walked the red carpet at the Met Gala in New York in May 2018.
She broke news of her pregnancy in controversial fashion in January after she posted a cryptic snap to her Instagram account.
The nude photo appeared to show a foetus Photoshopped on her stomach.
In her original post, the Oblivion artist was entirely naked and displaying her nipples, but swiftly had to take it down because the image violated Instagram’s standards on female nudity.
She later re-uploaded a “censored” version.
