James Jordan, 42, and Ola Jordan, 37, have opened up about the “terrifying” moment they rushed their newborn daughter Ella to hospital after noticing her breathing was irregular.
The Strictly Come Dancing pair welcomed the little girl back in February, and have been sharing adorable updates with their fans during the coronavirus pandemic.
But Ola and James were left terrified as they were forced to rush Ella to hospital on Tuesday night, as she appeared to be “choking on her own saliva”.
They opened up about the “terrifying” moment in their latest column for Hello, with Ola saying: “She’s okay now, she’s good, but we had a bit of drama last night.
“We had to go on a trip to hospital. I don’t know where to start.”

James added that they had been worrying about their little girl after noticing she seemed “unsettled” earlier in the week.
He said: “She had a lot of saliva in her mouth and it was almost like she couldn’t swallow properly. It was like she was choking on her own saliva.”
Ola added: “She’s looking at you with these big eyes and she just wants to tell you, ‘I’m not well, I’m in pain,’ and it’s just heartbreaking to see that.”
They sought advice from Ola’s sister, who is a pharmacist, who told them to call 111.

James said: “We called 111 and told them what was going on and they sent an ambulance out.
“Then the paramedics said, ‘Right, we’ll take her in and get someone to have a look at her.’ They took her into hospital and a paediatrician saw her very quickly.
“We were probably there about an hour and a half. They did some blood tests on her which she hated, checked her heart and her breathing. It came back that she had a bad case of reflux.”
Ola had gone in the ambulance with baby Ella, while James followed them in the car, and he said it was “gut-wrenching” to be apart from them during the worrying time.
James has been through a lot recently, as his father suffered a stroke and has been in hospital for weeks, and was later diagnosed with coronavirus.

He posted on social media: “Just when you think things couldn’t get any worse!
“After being in hospital for nearly 2 weeks after his stroke my dad has now tested positive to coronavirus.
“He is also fighting an infection he recently got in his arm (Cellulitis). God, please give my dad a break. StayAtHome.”
