James Jordan slams fellow celebs for 'harassing' Dominic Cummings after scandal

Former Strictly Come Dancing star James Jordan has hit out at celebrities who have been trolling political strategist Dominic Cummings online.

The 42-year-old ballroom dancer and choreographer has taken to social media to slam famous faces for “harassing” Boris Johnson’s senior adviser after it was reported that he breached self-isolating rules to visit his parents.

Cummings, 48, caused widespread outrage when he drove 250 miles from London to his parents home in Durham when he wife had coronavirus symptoms and has since received major backlash on and offline.

Taking to Twitter outspoken James penned: “I see on Twitter so many celebs that normally cry because they are being trolled and are ambassadors for mental health feel it’s ok to harass Cummings and Boris. Should be ashamed and know better.

“I agree they are totally wrong but will soon be playing the victims #JustSaying.”

The reality TV star’s tweet left his 271,000 Twitter followers divided with some telling him that he is “completely wrong”.

One fan penned: “They run the country, of course they should be fully scrutinised. What a footballer or singer does is hardly of the same importance.”

Another added: “Oh James, you’re completely off the mark with this one.”

A third posted: “Screaming abuse outside of a house that’s known to have children inside is vile behaviour no excuse for it at all in my opinion. I agree with you James”

A fourth agreed: “Yes James. Trolling is trolling whether its virtual or vocal. There his no excuse for it.”

James’ latest social media post comes after he revealed his dad has gone “downhill” after suffering another stroke.

The update comes after the former Celebrity Big Brother contestant took to Twitter to ask hospital staff at Maidstone for an update on his father.

He wrote: “NEED SOME HELP! Unfortunately my dad suffered another stroke and was emitted to MAIDSTONE HOSPITAL on Friday.

“I am aware the staff are very busy and consultants don’t work weekends but could someone please call my mum with an update because she is going out of her mind.”

He added: “My dad is unable to communicate or understand anything so can’t call us himself and my mum has been trying to talk to a doctor since Friday.

“I now worry for my mum’s mental health and the rest of my family are struggling with anxiety including myself. Please call us.”

Continuing, James added: “I understand this is very difficult times for everyone and that the NHS are doing a brilliant job.

“However, because family can’t be with their loved ones in hospital they should be giving regular updates to families who are struggling at home with insane worry and anxiety. Please.”

James, who welcomed his first child with wife Ola earlier this year, has documented his dad’s heartbreaking health battle recently after his father suffered from coronavirus and two strokes previously.
