Katie Price shares update after 'agony' of leg cast split days before surgery

Katie Price has updated fans on her condition as she prepares to undergo surgery on her legs.

The former glamour model, 42, recently broke both her ankles and feet while on holiday in Turkey with new beau Carl Woods and her children, Junior and Princess.

Katie suffered fractures and is expected to go under the knife for an operation later this week.

The Page 3 legend announced that she had to be tested for the deadly coronavirus ahead of her surgery and revealed she was in “agony” after medics sliced her plaster casts open that had been moulded around her legs.

Speaking on her Instagram Stories on Tuesday evening while filming her famous pins, the mum-of-five, said: “So after another hospital trip today I had to do my Covid-19 test again,

“Obviously as I haven’t got it and I am having my op this week – as you can see they had to slice through my cast ready for my operation.”

She later went on to say: “On my poor feet, so much agony, so much agony.”

Speaking to The Sun, a source claimed that Katie has been issued with a stern warning from her doctors.

“Katie’s doctors have warned her she must take her recovery seriously and it’s left her terrified,” they said.

The insider added: “She’s prone to getting infections after operations, and her surgeon says she could lose a leg if her feet get infected.

“She’ll have to be so, so careful – she’ll have medical professionals on call 24/7 – and change the dressings regularly.

“She’s got a long road ahead of her.”

Earlier in the week, an insider revealed that Katie will undergo “urgent” surgery in order for her feet to recover in the best way.

It’s believed that Katie will not be able to walk for at least six months, with her recovery lasting way into 2021.

Proving that this setback won’t knock her down, Katie has shown her fans how she is tackling her situation.

A video shared to her Instagram page showed Katie crawling towards her car before hoisting herself up into the Range Rover.
