Liam Gallagher might be “very zen” at the moment – but it was a completely different story back in Oasis’ heyday.
When they weren’t fighting each other, the Gallagher brothers were getting into conflicts with anyone and everyone.
The hot-headed duo seemed to smash everything in the process as they made music history.
But it was younger brother Liam who would get into the most outrageous scraps, often leaving Noel to pick up the pieces.
“I dunno where it comes from,” admitted Liam to the Guardian in 2018, “but I’ve always been a bit of an arrogant c***.”
The Oasis frontman has been handcuffed, fined and even deported after a series of brutal bust-ups.
Here is a look at some of Liam’s most infamous fights:
Losing teeth in Munich brawl

Perhaps the most infamous fight of them all, Liam lost his two front teeth during a brawl in Munich in December 2002.
But there are varying accounts of the explosive punch-up that took place at that hotel bar.
Liam claimed one of Oasis’ roadies was ‘giving some bird the eye’, which led to an unhappy gent dropping a glass table over a balcony.
It would have smashed on top of their heads had their security guard not reacted to push them out the way.
This led to a massive brawl which involved both “much of the nightclub furniture being reduced to matchwood”

There are reports that up to 80 police officers arrived to stop the ensuing melee – with Liam having his two front teeth knocked out.
“The boy didn’t look good. Several of his teeth were punched out ,” said Munich police spokesperson Christoph Reichenbach at the time.
The fight transitioned into the hotel lobby and Liam kicked a copper, resulting in him being arrested for bodily harm, trespassing and material damage – then slapped with a €50,000 fine
On the band’s website, a spokesperson claimed they were the innocent victims, stating: “Several members of Oasis and their entourage were the victims of an unprovoked attack by a group of youths in a Munich club.”
Liam has also come up with a bizarre theory as to how he lost his front teeth, arguing that they were “pulled out with pliers by the f***ing German police” while he was unconscious in retaliation.
“If I was to hit you in the mouth, you’d think you’d have a fat lip, right? I didn’t have a fat lip. I was still f***ing whistling while I worked, mate,” explained Liam to the Guardian in 2018.

“So I think they give me a whack over the head in the back of the fucking van and I think they’ve just gone, ‘F*** you, you c***’, later on.”
Due to the fact that his teeth were “pulled out completely perfect”, Liam does not believe he tripped on the stairs and whacked his face.
“But they’d have broken, wouldn’t they? You don’t f***ing have them completely fall out like that,” continued the singer.
“And I woke up in a prison cell, handcuffed, no teeth, but I could still and no other marks on me.
“So I’m going: they f***ing ripped them out because I did one of their geezers, that’s what happened there.”
However a spokesperson for the German police branded his comments “complete rubbish” and insisted Liam and his bandmates started the fight.
Headbutting a fan in Oz
Oasis are known for having die hard fans, but Liam took issue with one during a tour of Australia.
Liam reportedly snapped when a 20-year-old British tourist started taking pictures of the band in Brisbane in 1998.
There were claims that the lad claimed simply to have asked for a photo with the rock and roll star.
At the time, witnesses claimed he put the fan in a headlock before headbutting him and breaking his nose.
Liam was arrested and charged with assault, then reportedly reached an out-of-court settlement believed to be worth £60,000.

The fan’s father told The Sun: “I can confirm a deal has been agreed but I cannot go into the figures for legal reasons. Ben is satisfied with the outcome and believes that the settlement is fair.”
But Liam has no regrets over the incident, admitting he would do it again in the same cicrumstances.
“Yeah, and I’d do it all a-f***ing-gain,” he told Junkee during an interview in 2018.
“Because he put a camera in my face and he was p**sed, I was p**sed — and I told him, don’t be taking pictures.
“He carried on and that was the end of it. They fined me and I got done, but I’d f***ing do it again.”
Fire extinguisher fight with Gazza

Liam has got into some very famous faces over the years, but none of them ended as hilariously as his clash with Paul Gascoigne.
The Wall of Glass singer was slapped with a lifetime ban from The Groucho Club after he sprayed a fire extinguisher at Gazza – leaving him looking like “a snowman”.
Liam told the ex England player to “shut up you Geordie f***” after he poked fun at one of his song lyrics.
“Tempers flared and there was a couple of punches thrown. Liam then decided to cool Gazza off with a fire extinguisher. It ended up being quite funny,” a source told the Star.
Liam was allegedly having a bowl of soup when Gazza cheekily asked if he wanted “a roll with it” – referencing Oasis’ 1995 hit Roll With It.

In an interview with COPA90 in September last year, Liam explained: “He was going, ‘F***ing go on, you got to f***ing roll with it, have you?’
“And I went, ‘Shut up you Geordie f***.’ He was giving me all this jewellery, like f***ing, all this mad gold jewellery, like Mr f***ing T.
“I don’t want your f***ing jewellery man.”
He added: “I thought to myself, I’m going to f***king have him in a bit.”

Admitting he wasn’t allowed in the private member’s club because he previously used brother Noel Gallagher’s pass to gain access, he laughed: “As I’m going out the door, I turn around and say ‘here you are Gazza, you f***er.’
“I just pulled the fire extinguisher – and I know I’m going to spray the whole gaff here.
“The last words that came out of his mouth were ‘nooo!'”
He added: “I was like that, ‘Come on you f****ing Geordie c***.’
“He was like father Christmas, he was like a snowman. Just covered in it. “
Deported after ferry smash

Oasis documentary Supersonic unveiled some incredible band secrets in 2016, including the real story behind their infamous drunken ferry brawl.
Having just got their big European break, the boys were heading on their first gig overseas in 1994.
But their European dreams were cut devastatingly short due to a boozy scuffle which resulted in bandmembers being arrested.
Liam doesn’t even remember getting on the ferry to Amsterdam, which had a casino, nightclub, tonnes of booze and was full of football fans.
“The drink of choice for a few hours was Champagne and Jack Daniels,” producer Mark Coyle recalled in the documentary.
“The next thing, sporadic fighting is breaking out all round us and Liam got very excited by the prospect of a lot of chaos going on and he goes and joins in.

“You can see him running through the windows along the deck. He’s having a great time. It looks like he’s in a school playground chasing leaves.
“The next time I see Liam he’s still running up. He’s got policemen running after him.”
Explaining what happened in his own words, Liam said: “As the fight broke out all I remember was it was a bit Benny Hill.
“It was f***ing mayhem man, I loved it. It was punk rock man.”
Four members of the band got put in handcuffs, leaving Noel to break the news to band manager Alan McGee
He recalled: “I called (Alan) McGee and I’ll never forget this and this is another reason why I love McGee, I said: ‘Are you sitting down? I’ve got some news, everybody has been arrested’.
“The only word he said was (adopts Scottish accent) ‘brilliant’.”
The band were quickly deported back to Britain before they ever set foot on European soil.
Noel splits Liam’s lip over daughter slur

There’s nothing more heartwarming than a bit of brotherly love.
But there’s not much of that between the Gallagher boys, who seem to prefer greeting each other with a fist.
There have been some bitter rows and tense fights between the pair, but one of the most violent came in Barcelona in 2000.
The lads went out on the lash after cancelling a gig because drummer Alan White had injured his arm.
But things went sour a few shandies in when Liam questioned the legitimacy of Noel’s daughter, Anais, with his ex-wife, Meg Matthews.

According to reports, Noel leaped on top of his brother within seconds and started raining down punches.
Liam got a busted lip in the process and Noel quit the tour, forcing the rest of the band to carry on without him.
The beef was still festering five years after the incident – with Noel claiming he had never received an apology.
“I’ve never forgiven him because he’s never apologised,” Noel told Q magazine in 2005.
“He’s my brother, but he’s at arm’s length until he apologises for what he’s done.”
Liam did eventually say sorry, but Noel hinted that it was a case of too little too late.
“People don’t see what I’ve had to put up with for 30-odd years,” he said, “but also they don’t see that if we keep the right distance it still really works.”
