Linda Lusardi's beloved dog dies days after she recovered from coronavirus

Linda Lusardi has been hit with more heartbreaking news after her beloved pooch Dexter has died, days after the Dancing On Ice star returned to her home after battling coronavirus.

The Page 3 brunette beauty, 61, has been devastated after her beloved companion was put to sleep earlier in the week after battling health problems.

Last night, the star took to her Instagram page to share a heartwarming tribute to her four-legged pal and posted a snap cradling him in her arms.

Her post came three days after she revealed that she had made the decision to have Dexter put to sleep after suffering from spine problems.

Announcing to her 28,300 Instagram followers Linda said: “It’s with a heavy heart I have to tell you Dexter was put to sleep this morning.

“He had a problem with his spine and after an operation that we thought would cure him, he developed Myelopathy with no cure. We will miss our little man so much.”

Yesterday, the star shared the adorable snap cuddled up to her little man, alongside the caption: “God I miss my baby Dexter so much. Can’t believe he’s gone.”

Fans instantly took to the comment section, with one saying: “That pain is like no other and I know so sympathize Linda. Sending oceans of love to you and Dexter’s memory!!”

While a second added: “So sorry Linda you have had such a hard time. They mean so much to us, we love them so much.”

“It’s heartbreaking when our furbabies leave us, sending love to you all, you have all been through so much,” penned a third.

Linda has been recovering at her lavish home after being hospitalised with coronavirus – her husband Sam Kane feared for her life.

During an appearance on Good Morning Britain earlier this month, he said: “I thought she was gone, she looked like she was dead.”

When questioned about their children, Jack and Lucy, Sam revealed that the model turned around.

“Her lights came back on… Then it was small steps, she got better and better,” he added.
