Loose Women host Andrea McLean has slammed “haters” who left hurtful comments on her social media account in a lengthy Instagram post.
The 50-year-old television presenter told her 265,000 followers she would “block and delete” nasty online comments and stand with women who have a “positive, growth mindset”.
Former GMTV weather girl Andrea took to Instagram this morning to thank those who had supported her through the “ups and downs”.
She later went on to issue a warning to her “haters” who felt the need to tell her all the things they “disliked” about her.
Andrea said that she would metaphorically “kick off” social media users who “b***h” about her on her profile.

The ITV star compared posting negative comments on her account to entering her home.
Taking to her Instagram Stories, Andrea penned: “I love my followers, you guys are so incredible and have supported me so much during the ups and down and bumpy journey that life sometimes is!
“So the following message isn’t for you, it’s for the haters…”
She continued: “If you don’t like something I’ve said or done, and you want to tell me all the things you dislike about me, it’s pretty easy to let me know.

“But don’t be surprised when I block you and delete your comments.”
“It has nothing to do with not being able to ‘face the truth’ or ‘handle constructive criticism’.”
Andrea, who is married to Nick Feeney and mum to teenagers Finlay, 18, and Amy, 13, added: “If you have something constructive to say I’d happily take it on board, that’s how we grow as humans!

“But if you do the online equivalent of coming into my home to b***h about me, I will kick you out.”
Andrea told fans she wants to champion positive people.
“I will stand with women who have a positive, growth mindset and I will champion you, root for you and support you.”
She signed off: “I love you and I am here for you!
“Anyone else can jog on.”
It comes after Andrea revealed that she and hubby Nick have one topic that is off-limits in their marriage.
Andrea opened up about the topic while discussing partners’ histories on Loose Women with her co-stars during Wednesday’s show.
The mother of two admitted: “Funnily enough, Nick and I have had this conversation before we even knew we were going to be talking about it.”
Andrea added: “We don’t ask about each other’s pasts, the line in the sand is from where we met and then that’s all we sort of need to know.”
Revealing why she and her husband chose to do this, Andrea said: “You almost think of it like Scrooge, if you’re going back constantly focusing on the Christmases past.
“You’re not enjoying your Christmas present, so just focus on now.”
Loose Women airs weekdays on ITV at 12.30pm
