Louis Theroux has waded into the Tiger King debate by saying he believes Carole Baskin did not kill her husband.
The documentary maker met the Netflix show’s star Joe Exotic for his BBC programme America’s Most Dangerous Pets in 2011.
He said the zoo keeper was convinced his arch-rival Carole fed her husband to her tigers, a hotly debated topic, which features heavily in the hit show.
Louis also slammed the Netflix show for neglecting animal rights and focusing too much on Joe’s craziness.

The 49-year-old broadcaster said: “I knew a lot of stuff about the alleged murder for hire plot.
“Joe had always said he thought Carole Baskin had arranged the murder of her husband and fed the husband to her tigers, which needless to say she denies and I don’t believe.”
He added: “I thought it was an entertaining and amazing romp through this netherworld of big cat owners and it really gripped my attention.

“I did think the tiger perspective was slightly lost, that was my little quibble.
“I thought here is an animal rights story, which they did at the end a bit, but you didn’t see the foreground.”
Exotic is serving a 22-year jail sentence for plotting to have animal rights activist Carole murdered.
US President Donald Trump recently revealed he would consider pardoning Joe Exotic.

It came after his son Donald Trump Jr tweeted his thoughts on the popular Netflix documentary.
He said: “Now, I don’t even know exactly what he was charged with … I watched the show, but it was like, I don’t know exactly what he was guilty of or wasn’t.
“It doesn’t seem like he was totally innocent of anything. But when they’re saying, ‘We’re putting this guy away for 30 years,’ I’m saying that seems sort of aggressive.”
The President was then asked if he was of the same mind-set of his son, but Trump admitted he knew “nothing about” the case, but told the journalist that he would “take a look” at it.
